One thing that I have learned in my travels is that sometimes a deal that just looks too good to be true usually is. I have to admit, however, that I have becoming increasingly impressed with the offers for rental cars, especially when combined with plane tickets and accommodation deals. Typically these rental cars can be any variety of sporty sedans, luxury cars or even the very economical compact cars. Since they are often traded out before they are more than a couple of years old, you also have the opportunity to spend a weekend or longer in test driving different models to help you decide what make and model you may want to select for your own car.
The added convenience of combining air transportation and car rental means that you don’t have to worry about how and where to pick up your vehicle. Most of the major airport car rental companies have kiosks or booths right in the arrivals area of the airport and often bring your vehicle right to the door for added ease. With some of the packages you are even able to upgrade your vehicle to a luxury car or even a specialty vehicle such as a van or a SUV if you are booking particular flights, especially in off season travel.
